African Crown Publishing is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit literary arts organization based in Northern California. We publish and support Black, African American, and diasporic writers through ethical publishing, education, and community-centered programs. We are a platform for stories that demand care, truth, and cultural integrity.
We publish books rooted in truth, imagination, and cultural integrity while protecting authors' voices and ownership at every stage.
We create pathways for young writers to discover storytelling as power, identity, and possiblity through schools and commmunity programs.
We build readers, writers, and cultural ecosystems through events, workshops, and equitable access to publishing resources.
From debut fiction to cultural memory work, our publications reflect the depth, range, and brilliance of Black storytelling.
